Photographers are creative professionals who capture photos of people, things and places in a memorable way for personal use or use in the media.

Some examples of their work include making school photographs, capturing art for a museum, taking shots of houses for a real estate firm and photographing people for magazine covers. If you have an eye for detail and design, and you're comfortable using photography equipment and computers, then you may enjoy using your skills as a professional photographer working for a company or running your own business. The high level of self-employment for photographers makes it a flexible career if you want to spend time with your family since you can have a lot of control over your work schedule.

Photographers create images to visually record events. Using technical skills and creativity, photographers often play a critical role in selling a product or capturing life events that create a lasting happy memory. Although there are no standard education requirements for many photography careers, formal training or education can increase job opportunities and salaries.

Most employers require at least a high school diploma for photography jobs. Some industries, such as photojournalism and science, often require a bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to their industry. Some educational programs offer an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in photography. Coursework includes types of photography, lighting and darkroom techniques, technical and computer applications related to photography and its history.

Many vocational schools, community colleges and art schools offer photography training. A variety of photography classes are offered from these types of programs and students have the option to obtain a diploma or certification after successful completion of training. These programs generally cover basic photography techniques, as well as the business and marketing side of photography. Because photographers create visual images, many programs also train students how to create a portfolio to showcase their work to potential employers and clients.

Important Skills

Photographers must also possess important personal qualities to be successful. They are required to have artistic skills to successfully understand how to manipulate lighting, shades and colors. Most jobs in photography require you to work directly with the public, so good customer service and interpersonal skills are important. Because technology continues to advance in photography, and much of a photographer's editing is done with complex programs, good computer skills are a must.

Fantasy has been an integral part of art since its beginnings, but has been particularly important in mannerism, magic realist painting, romantic art, symbolism, surrealism and lowbrow. In French, the genre is called le fantastique, in English it is sometimes referred to as visionary art, grotesque art or mannerist art. It has had a deep and circular interaction with fantasy literature.

The subject matter of Fantastic Art may resemble the product of hallucinations, and Fantastic artists spend much of their life in creative situations. Salvador Dalí famously said: "the only difference between me and a madman is that I am not mad". Some recent Fantastic Art draws on the artist's experience, or purported experience, of hallucinogenic drugs.

The term Fantasy Art is closely related, and is applied primarily to recent art (typically 20th century onwards) inspired by, or illustrating, fantasy literature. The term has acquired some pejorative overtones.

Fantastic art has traditionally been largely confined to painting and illustration, but since the 1970s has increasingly been found also in photography. Fantastic art explores fantasy, imagination, the dream state, the grotesque, visions and the uncanny, as well as so-called "Goth" art.

Vancouver BC Canada photography animates people's emotions. A photograph gives viewers a chance to experience the ecstasy or grief of a given moment as often as they see fit. While the here and now perishes quickly, a photo lives on.

Anyone can take snapshots, but it takes a photographer; a skilled amateur or a professional to capture the scenes that whiz largely unseen past the world at large. A skilled photographer spends a lifetime visualizing and snatching those rare images that flicker and fade forever. Split seconds that will never again manifest themselves.

Have you ever wondered why millions of people bypass certain scenes, and never envision the possibilities? Why does one person pass the shadow of a hot air balloon in flight, or a Vancouver sailboat against the stunning backdrop of a midsummer's sunset and forget these visual treasures within seconds? A professional photographer transforms these same images into significant cultural icons by means of simple photos that can spark the imagination for centuries. Photographs have the ability to transform priceless instants into classic illustrations of life-paper thin slices of history so to speak.

It takes more than a camera to fill a gallery with art worth contemplating. It takes an eye-an eye that is seemingly dispossessed of the world around it, yet in actuality intricately attuned to that very world. A world of individuals. Although each person has a unique vision of surroundings, the professional photographer uses both tenacity and technology to contribute a new paradigm. Whether the photographer displays his work in a gallery or online, the customized touches of a professional photographer make the difference between a work of art and a mediocre family keepsake.

A professional photographer impels spectators into a dynamic head-turning environment inspired by a truly unique itinerary. The pieces may be gracefully sculpted, sophisticated or sullied, yet each provides enchantment through attention to details. Whether displaying an effusion of color or a hint of shadowing, the focus of each photograph gives the impression of being personally gift wrapped for your viewing pleasure.

Digital photography in Vancouver is the process of recording images using a digital camera with a digital adapter where the images can later be downloaded and viewed on a computer. Whether you are a professional photographer or not you need to be able to take beautiful pictures which you will later cherish and admire. Below are some useful tips on what to do to make sure that your photos are beautiful and of high quality.

Before you even start taking pictures make sure that your camera is in good working condition. Charge the battery prior to your photo shoot so that you do not get frustrated when your battery dies in the middle of your work. To take good picture you need a subject, this is what you are going to take pictures of: it can be people, nature or animals. Think deeply about your subject before shooting and make sure you get to know the best angels that you can take your photographs from.

When it comes to shooting make sure your subjects are in place. If it is still photography ensure that your subject does not move around as because if they do you will end up having blurry photos which are a sore to the eyes. After you have positioned your subjects look at the camera to see whether the subjects are in good place. If they are in order take the photo, you can have many takes so that you can chose the best. Make sure that your back ground is clean and not busy so that when you take your photos the subject can be in focus and you won't have anything unnecessary in the photo. Always take your photos looking away from the sun because when you point your camera to direct sunlight it may cause the lens of the camera and your photos to spoil.

In photography the absence of light means the absence of any quality picture. A well lit subject is the aim of any photographer. Lighting styles are therefore employed to make sure that such a goal is achieved. There are numerous ways through the desired lighting techniques can be achieved. In photography, the angle at which the light hits a subject is crucial. Therefore a professional photographer will make sure that light angles on the subject are at their very best, and this involves the placing of lights at certain angles in relation to the subject, with the aim of achieving a given effect.

Reflectors are another tool through which desired lighting styles on a subject are achieved. The main idea here is usually to hold a reflector against the dark sides of a subject and the end result is a good photograph turned great. Most of them are usually best used with other sources of lighting, such that the light that bounces off a subject is reflected back to it. Photography lighting is crucial to the attainment of certain photographic goals and as a result good digital photography tips demand that a flash can also be used, in the spirit of trying to attain a perfect work of photography.

Here a flash is a source of light that is usually found on a camera, it can also be mounted though, and it produces artificial light simultaneously as the camera's shutter closes. It is one of thee commonest methods through which photographic lighting styles are achieved. Depending on the angle that the camera is held in relation to the subject, the flash can be used to bring out loads of photographic effects that will either render the photo a success or some shoddy work. Amateurs are known to come up with shoddy work and they are judged through their photos. There are other methods through which photography lighting styles can be achieved.
